An invite has been extended to us to attend the Merlin Genealogy Solution's Family History Study Day on Tuesday 26 March 2019, at Ashtead Peace Memorial Hall, Woodfield Lane, Ashtead, Surrey KT21 2BE.
The Family History Study Day provides the opportunity to hear four speakers and to talk to other people who are or would like to research their family history. The speakers for the day will be
- Mark Bayley (The Genealogist) – Breaking down brick walls in your family history research
- Jane Lewis (Surrey Heritage) – Life and Labour in a County Village – or Learn to Love your Ag Labs!
- Ruth Mathewson (Kindred Ancestry) – We’re a’ Jock Tamson’s bairns – Researching your Scottish Ancestry
- Julian Pooley (Surrey Heritage) – Out of Sight, Out of Mind? Sources for the History of Surrey’s Mental Hospitals, 1770 – c.1990
